Privacy policy

This policy covers the Loan Compare Android app and this website, both operated by Soluntion Labs ("we", "us").

Summary. The app has no account and does not collect, store or send your personal information. When you tap a lender's offer, you go to that lender's site through a referral link, and the lender's own privacy policy applies from there.

Information the app collects

The Loan Compare app does not collect personal information.

  • There is no sign-up, login or user profile.
  • The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, address, date of birth, Social Security number, income, or bank details.
  • The app requests no device permissions. It does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone, messages or call logs.
  • The app contains no advertising or analytics software from us or from third parties.

The loan amount, term and credit range you select are used only on your device to filter the lender list and calculate estimates. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not kept after you close the app.

When you open a lender's offer

Tapping "View offer" opens the lender's website in your browser. The link is a referral (affiliate) link. It contains an identifier that tells the lender, or the affiliate network that manages its program, that the visit came from Loan Compare. It does not contain your loan selections or any information that identifies you.

Once you are on the lender's or network's site:

  • They may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, in order to attribute the referral and operate their service.
  • Anything you enter there, including a loan application, is collected by the lender under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your application or the personal details in it.
  • We may receive summary reports from affiliate networks, such as the number of clicks and whether a referral resulted in a commission. These reports do not identify you to us.

Information this website collects

This website has no accounts, forms, advertising or analytics scripts, and we do not set cookies. The payment calculator runs in your browser, and the numbers you enter are not sent to us.

Like almost all websites, the company that hosts this site automatically receives standard technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Links to lenders on this website work the same way as in the app, as described above.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to handle your request, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. Because the app and website do not collect personal information from you, we have none to share, other than email correspondence, which we would disclose only if required by law.

Google Play

If you install the app from Google Play, Google collects information about the download and may provide us with aggregated statistics, such as install counts and crash reports. That processing is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Children

Loan Compare is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices and rights

  • You can use the app and website without giving us any personal information.
  • You can clear cookies set by lenders or affiliate networks in your browser settings.
  • Depending on where you live, for example in California, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information a business holds about you. We hold none beyond any emails you have sent us. To make a request about those, contact us at the address below. For information held by a lender, contact that lender directly.

Security

The app opens lender links over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Since we do not collect personal information through the app or website, there is no user database for us to secure.

Changes to this policy

If the app or website changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example if we add analytics, we will update this policy and the effective date before the change takes effect.
